Our History and Statistics
•We were established in 2015 by Rochelle Larsen who wanted a support group in her area as she was beginning to raise her daughter with Down syndrome.
•We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is comprised of all volunteers. Every dollar raised goes to supporting people with Down syndrome, their families, and our Eastern Idaho community.
•We currently serve 110 families.
•We hosted 17 events in 2018 for the families of EIDS and our Eastern Idaho community. In 2019 we hosted 33 events!
•We go into local schools, businesses, professional meetings, and sport teams to educate people about Down syndrome and inclusion.
•In 2019 we taught 1,904 people about Down syndrome, inclusion, and kindness.
•In 2019 at our annual Dash for Down Syndrome race we had 940 participants and raised $33,100. The race is how we raise our funds to support our programs and is a wonderful day to celebrate Down syndrome in Eastern Idaho.
