EIDS Tutoring for Individuals with Down Syndrome
We are excited to offer reading tutoring again this summer for individuals with Down syndrome. There are nine spots available so if you want a spot do not wait! Here are the details:
Who: Individuals with Down Syndrome
What: Tutoring in reading (we have a researched-based program for Kindergarten through 2nd-grade level and then other great research-based materials for 3rd-grade level and above)
Where: EIDS Office- 1675 S Woodruff, Idaho Falls
When: 6-week session, Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 14th- July 28th (with taking the 4th of July week off). Sessions are 45 min long. They start at 9:00 am, 9:45 am, and 10:30 am.
Why: We know that long breaks make it hard for our kids with Down syndrome to retain all of their knowledge from the previous school year. We want to help bridge that gap.
Cost: $240 per child (must be a registered member of EIDS to be enrolled in the tutoring program)...we will contact you for payment once we get your registration
More Info: It will be required that the parents do about 15-20 min of reading practice with their child two other days in the week. We will give you the materials for practice and it will be very clearly laid out for everyone,
