Eastern Idaho Down Syndrome Family Connect (EIDS) Pandemic Policy For Events

EIDS is working to create and put on safe activities for all who want to participate.  We have had several families ask for some social activities face to face as their children are suffering mentally from being in isolation.

As always, our actives are free, not mandatory and EIDS will continue to follow the safety protocols set forth by the government.  Masks will be worn by all staff and volunteers, masks for all participants are strongly advised, hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes will be available, temperature checks will be administered and social distancing will be available within reason. By working together and supporting each other, we can emerge from the crisis wiser and stronger.

Please only attend the activities if you feel comfortable doing so. We want what is best and safest for everyone. If attending an activity in-person, please make sure that you (or anyone in your family attending) are healthy and have not been in contact with anyone that has or has had COVID-19 in the past 14 days. The goal is to keep everyone as safe as possible. We appreciate your help in accomplishing this goal.

Remember the path forward will not be straight or easy.  The journey will be a rocky one, compromised of phases and likely some setbacks along the way.  Whatever form it takes, as EIDS, we will lead with our values: our commitment to our mission and prioritizing the safety of our members and volunteers.

If you have any questions or concerns please e-mail us at info@easternidahodownsyndrome.org.

Sincerely,

EIDS Board Members
